Correction to Reports about Appointment of an Interim President

There have been some incorrect reports circulated that Provost Quick had been appointed Interim President by the Board of Trustees.  Our understanding instead is that, in keeping with normal university procedures for when the President is on vacation or otherwise unavailable, the Provost automatically serves as the Acting President. If the Provost is also unavailable, the Senior Vice President of Finance then becomes the Acting President.  The Executive Board of the Academic Senate will continue to monitor reports and publish corrections and clarifications when this appears useful.
